An articulated locomotive with a wheel arrangement of 2-8-8-2, this behemoth is one of Norfolk & Western's Class Y3a Mallets. The locomotive is essentially two steam engines mounted under one massive boiler. This big girl was used for heavy freight and her power is only recently being equalled by the latest diesels coming from GE and EMD.
