Acrylic Picture Glazing Cleaning and Static Removal We sell acrylic picture glazing in large quantities and cleaning and static are the two biggest issues with this material.  There are two products that we have tried and have had good success with both.  Brillianze and Novus #1 Plastic Clean & Shine both are effective for cleaning picture frame acrylic.  Another good method is to gently use a soft damp cloth and wipe the acrylic clean with this. Never use paper towel or any type of glass cleaner on acrylic picture glazing. You don't need any special cloth to clean acrylic, just a soft cotton cloth.  Never use paper towels as they are much to abrasive and will scratch the surface of the acrylic.  Most of the micro fiber towels that are on the market work well also.

Novus Plastic Polishes Novus 1 • gently cleans all plastics without scratching. Leaves a lustrous shine that resists fogging, repels dust, and eliminates static. Hint: Never clean plastic with paper towels — they will scratch! Specialty Museum Gifts does not carry either product but they are available at most hardware stores.

Kleenmaster Brillianize An antistatic cleaner and polish for plastics and shining surfaces. Cleans and glazes in one operation. Surfaces resist finger marks, dust, and abrasion. Recommended for: plastics, aircraft, boats, mirrors, showcases, sneeze guards, television screens, chandelier crystals, fiber glass, chromium, refrigerators, glazed ceramics, polished marble and granite, and medical and dental equipment.
